Technically there are no blue daylilies, but this one comes closest. Large lavender-rose blooms have a buttery yellow throat, and measure 5" or more across. Flowers are lightly textured with crimped petal edged and subtle veining. They decorate the garden in June and July, carried on strong stems that can produce up to 25 buds on each. Plants grow 20" high, lush with semi-evergreen foliage. 'Prairie Blue Eyes' daylily is outstanding in the perennial border, often among the first to bloom in summer. Use it as a feature accent, as a low border hedge, or in pots for portable color. This award-winning variety performs best in full sun or light shade, blooming dependably in summer and again in fall. We ship premium 2-3 eye plants, ready to provide a summer spectacular.
