THIS ITEM SHIPS IN THE SPRING
A spectacular silvery grass often called “Maiden Grass.” It forms graceful fountains of slender green foliage spears that reach 4 to 6 feet tall. In late summer, it forms silver-white flower heads for a spectacular display. It is a decorative addition to borders all summer into fall. Perfect flanking the entry to a drive. At night the silvery blooms almost seem to glow in the moonlight. Long-lived plants grow into larger clumps each season. Medium growth rate. Growing tips: Grasses are easy to grow, and adapt to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer in the spring at a 3-1-2 or 4-1-2 ratio). Mulch with organic material in the fall to protect roots and shoots from freezing. Grasses that die back completely in the winter can be cut back in the very early spring to rejuvenate the plant and evergreen varieties which survive the winter should only be cleaned up by removing dead growth. Height: 4-6 feet. Spread: 3-4 feet. Attributes: Container, drought tolerant, privacy/hedge, specimen.
